Scout Programs
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation offers a variety of programs specifically for Boy and Girl Scout groups who wish to visit the Plantation. These programs offer everything from an enjoyable day on the farm, to achieving badges, and even a weekend camping option.
The Scout Colonial Experience
This program is designed for scout groups looking for a hands-on style workshop program and is suitable for either boy or girl scouts. The program takes two hours and can be given on weekends, an afternoon or evening. It consists of three activities chosen from the list below.

- Chores
- Carding and Spinning Wool
- Colonial Toys
- Blacksmithing
- Papermaking
- Colonial Country Dancing
- Farming
Cost: $15.00 per participant
Minimum number of participants: 10
Maximum number of participants: 30
Minimum charge: $150.00
Camping
Spend a fun filled weekend in a truly one-of-a-kind setting! The Plantation offers a scout camping area for groups wishing to camp overnight at the plantation. The Plantation provides camping groups access to the site, 24 hour bathroom usage, dumpsters, water, and use of the campsite fire pit. Groups are responsible for providing their own food, tents, cooking implements, trash bags and firewood. Firewood can also be purchased from the Plantation for a modest price. Scheduling must be made at least 4 months in advance and is dependent upon the Plantation event schedule.
Cost: $50/ night for up to 20 campers.
Additional Campers: $2 per camper

Scout Group Discount
For scout groups wishing to visit the Planation on weekends, but not schedule a particular program, a group discount of $1 off per person on admission is available. Generally this discounted admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 & under. Prices are higher on event weekends. Please check with the Plantation Office for the rate on your planned visit day.
Eagle Scout Projects
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is more than willing to work with Eagle Scouts in need of service projects and we often have a list of needed jobs for such projects. Contact us to arrange a meeting in regards to these projects.
