SPRING SHEEP SHEARING AND TEXTILE DAY

Admission is $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for children ages 4 to 12.
Children under age 4 are free.
Come see the horned dorset sheep and hog island sheep of the Colonial Plantation lose their winter coats. See the complete process -shearing, skirting, washing, dyeing, carding, spinning, knitting and weaving. There will be flax, bobbin lace, and lucet demonstrations. There will also be hearth cooking, garden, farm, and house tours. Enjoy a day in the country that is very close to home.
Shearing Demonstrations at 12:30 PM & 2:30PM
We will be using hand clippers to shear our sheep.
