Easter Egg Hunt
ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT
April 20, 2019
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00 am. Children 12 and under are welcome to search the fields of the farm to find eggs with treats and surprises in them. Three hunts, divided by age group, will begin at 11:00 (1-4 years), 11:15 (5-8 years) and 11:30 (9-12 years). There will be a puppet show (Segal Puppet Theatre Company) for young children following the hunts. Pre-registration is strongly suggested to guarantee your child's spot--we did sell out in 2018. All visitors age 4 and up must pay for a ticket; only ages 12 and under are permitted to hunt for eggs. Families are welcome to stay and explore the farm and see the animals. Admission is $8.00 for adults and children 4-12. Children age 3 and under are free, as well as members. Members: You must present your valid 2019 membership card and a photo ID at the door. (Not a member? You can view our membership levels and benefits on our membership page!)
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. First, this event can sell out, so advance purchases are guaranteed their spot. Secondly, the line for paying at the door can be quite long, but a separate line will be open for tickets purchased online and you can get in much faster.
Online ticketing for this event will end at 11:59pm on April 19, 2019. If any tickets remain after that point, they will be available at the door on a first come, first served basis.

A big thank you to our Easter Egg Hunt Sponsors!
Does the Plantation provide egg baskets?
-----No, you will need to provide your own egg baskets, bags, or totes.
Is food available on site?
-----The Plantation does not have a restaurant or cafeteria. However we will have a table where snacks and drinks can be purchased.
Can I take public transit to your site?
-----Unfortunately the nearest public bus stop is about a 1.5 mile walk from the Plantation entrance.
Where do I park?
----We have plentiful free parking in our parking lot. For environmental and comfort reasons, we do encourage carpooling!
What happens if it rains?
-----This is a rain or shine event. We'll conduct the hunt regardless of weather, unless the forecast is dangerous. In the event WE cancel the event, ticket prices will be refunded.
What is in the eggs?
-----Each egg is stuffed with a toy, sticker, or piece of candy. While we do our best to keep each group's eggs age-appropriate, parents and guardians are responsible for determining if their child's egg contents are safe to play with or consume.
What if my child doesn't get any eggs?
-----We have staff stationed with each age group with extra eggs so that no one goes home unhappy!
What else is there to see?
-----After the hunts, our volunteers and staff will open the c. 1720 farmhouse for tours, conduct meet-and-greets with our farm animals, and have a variety of crafts on hand that are both adult and kid-friendly. Siegel Puppet theater will also be on hand to entertain our young visitors with puppet shows.
